Block library (PRO) — arriving in 3.1

Reusable blocks already exist today

Do not confuse the two: the Reusable blocks section works in 3.0 — one block sits on several pages and is edited in one place. It is paid and documented under Blocks.

What arrives in 3.1 is a different thing — the Block library, a gallery of ready-made blocks you add a block to the page from. The name is reserved for it deliberately, so that 3.1 does not end up with two sections under the same label.

The readyblocks field type is not in the component

It has been removed from PageBlocks and never worked for a single day: it could be picked in the type list, but no widget for it existed and the route it expects was never written in v3. A field of that type did not merely fail to work — it took down the whole form, because an unknown type reached ExtJS as an unregistered type.

If you created such fields on an older version, a migration takes them off the form while keeping the row and its values: a rollback brings everything back. The same migration does the same for resourcelist, the other type removed for never having worked.
